Lars Arviddson, age 5, sits in a laboratory lighthouse high atop a deserted, wolf–infested, island haunted by the stains of evil, man-altering, experiments once carried on there. He receives rabies inoculations from a wound caused by the attack of a man-beast. Recently orphaned, Lars arrives from his native Sweden to the American farm community of New Harmony. He is immediately separated from his grand-parents and cast into a brutal military school where he is trained as an obedient soldier and assassin.

In time, he will join the guards who police and punish New Harmony’s enslaved workers. However, as Lars matures, he discovers his terrifying super human attributes. He is a MOONGLOW, who quickly becomes a pawn in a deadly rivalry between two devious scientists who genetically engineered those attributes to maintain control of this lucrative farming community. The slaves rebel. Is Lars the obedient soldier loyal to his upbringing; or has he evolved into a compassionate avenger?
